Hopefully this will help those who love us keep up with us a little better so the distance between us does not seem as far as it really is.

Maddox's Christmas...oops Holiday Sing...gotta be PC.
Here are a few quick videos and some pics of Maddox's preschool holiday sing. Of course I personally think he is adorable, but I realize he may not have a stage career in his future He is definitely getting better though, last year he didn't even sing or do any motions. : )
Why Essential Oils?
Julie came home one day and showed me this cool program for making presentations called Prezi. I just could not resist trying it out so I made one too. Mine is for essential oil newbies, so check it out and and expand your mind a little. : )

Long Time, No Blog
It has been so long since I have been to my blog that I didn't even remember how to get here. LAME! I am going to try to be better, really I am. We have had a lot happen in the last 2+ years since I last wrote so I'm going to try to catch you up the best I can. And by 'you', I really don't know who I am talking about bc I'm pretty sure no one will read this. But it's cool, it is good for me just to actually do this. Not sure why, I'm just gonna go with it.
So we moved from WA, because Julie took a new position at USC, to a wonderful, picturesque little town called Park Ridge, right outside Chicago. Maddox goes to preschool (and next year Kindergarten) and loves it. We have made amazing friends here and we absolutely love it!
Our biggest news is that we are expecting a new baby...soon! I am 35 weeks pregnant with a little girl. Her name is Mallory and we are VERY excited to complete our family this January. It was a long, emotional, and expensive road but it is almost time to welcome our sweet baby girl and it will all be worth it.
I have also recently discovered the healing powers of essential oils. For anyone who knows me you know that I am always on the prowl for more natural and healthy ways to do pretty much everything. I was introduced to a company called doTERRA and essentail oils a few months ago. I was looking for a natural remedy to help my ankle that I broke a few years ago that still gets sore. I found that and then some! A few days after I got my first order of oils I got a sinus infection. A nasty one, it felt like my head was in a vise grip, but I started using the essential oils and literally the next day I felt 90% better. In 2 more days I was totally fine. WHOA!!!! I used to get sinus infections and be miserable for weeks. Now I feel a little snotty and I reach for my oils and BAM, feeling great again! I love how empowered I feel and that I don't have to A. be miserable B. take medications that have side effects and may be dangerous for me and baby Mallory C. go to the Dr and fork over Julie's hard earned cash.
I have also quit taking my Clairitin for allergies and so has Maddox. We just do our preventative oil maintenance everyday.
Over Thanksgiving we were around lots of sick people and we continued putting On Guard (great for keeping bacteria and viruses at bay) on our feet every day. Did we get sick? Heck no! Did Julie get sick? Yup. Was she putting oils on her feet everyday? Nope, she is the stubborn one. She is coming around though. She is starting to reach for my oil bag when she needs something. Her favorite being peppermint which is great for tummy aches, cramps, headaches, and many other things.
So natural healing and doTERRA essentail oils have become my new passion and I am really enjoying sharing them with other people so they can be empowered to help themselves and their families. I am going to commit to being more diligent about blogging so I can share my new found knowledge with people who are interested. If you are interested then check me out, if not, then I will never know that you turned and ran, so see ya! Oh, and I will also have lots of pics of my adorable kid(s) so stay tuned for that too!
